Terms of Service

1. About the Service

DocByInk provides handcrafted document templates and tools for creating print-ready documents, including resume, cover letter, personal biodata, marriage biodata, invoice, quotation, GST letter, and ID card builders. We also provide client-side PDF tools such as merge, compress, sign, edit, and format conversion.

Templates are designed by humans. AI may assist with writing suggestions in limited areas, but AI does not generate layouts or template designs on DocByInk.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, and capable of entering a binding contract under Indian law. If you use the Service on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.

3. Accounts

Some features work without an account. Cloud save, My Documents, and version history require a registered account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the information and content you enter into the Service ("User Content"). You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of User Content, including names, contact details, financial figures, tax identifiers, and images you upload.

By using the Service, you grant DocByInk a limited license to host, process, and display User Content only as needed to provide the Service (for example, rendering previews, generating PDFs on your device, and syncing drafts when you enable cloud save).

5. Templates and platform intellectual property

DocByInk owns the Service, including template designs, layout systems, branding, software, and documentation. Templates are licensed to you for creating personal or business documents through the Service.

You may not, without our prior written consent:

• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute our templates as a product
• Scrape, copy, or reverse-engineer the platform at scale
• Remove branding or attribution where required
• Use the Service to build a competing template marketplace

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Create fraudulent, misleading, or impersonating documents
• Infringe intellectual property or privacy rights of others
• Upload malware or attempt to disrupt the Service
• Abuse payment flows, including fraudulent chargebacks
• Harass our team or other users through support channels

We may suspend or terminate access for conduct that risks harm to users, partners, or the platform.

7. Payments and pricing

Clean PDF exports from document builders are priced at ₹89 per export unless otherwise stated at checkout. This is a one-time payment per export, not a recurring subscription.

Payments are processed by Razorpay. By completing checkout, you agree to Razorpay's terms and authorize the charge for the selected export.

Prices are shown in Indian Rupees (INR) and include applicable taxes only where explicitly stated at checkout. We may change pricing in the future; changes apply to new purchases, not completed transactions.

8. Refunds

Refund rules are set out in our Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

9. No professional advice

DocByInk provides general-purpose document templates and tools. We do not provide legal, tax, accounting, HR, or government filing advice. See our Disclaimer for important limitations.

10. Service availability

We aim to keep the Service reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features may change, and maintenance or third-party outages may cause temporary unavailability. PDF generation and PDF Tools depend on your device and browser; we are not responsible for local hardware or connectivity limitations.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that exported documents will be accepted by any employer, government authority, payment gateway, or third party.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DocByInk and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to DocByInk for the specific export or transaction giving rise to the claim in the 30 days before the claim, or (b) ₹500.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DocByInk from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your User Content, misuse of the Service, or violation of these Terms or applicable law.

14. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, create security risk, or if required by law. Upon termination, rights granted to you under these Terms end, but sections that by nature should survive (such as liability limits, indemnity, and governing law) will continue to apply.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the Service, subject to applicable consumer protection laws.

16. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date will change when we do. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
