Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains when refunds may be issued for payments made on DocByInk. It applies to paid PDF exports and related checkout transactions processed through Razorpay.

DocByInk uses per-export pricing (₹89 per clean PDF export). We do not sell recurring subscriptions at this time, so there is no subscription cancellation process.

1. General rule — digital exports

Digital PDF exports are generally non-refundable once payment succeeds and a clean, watermark-free PDF is generated and made available for download.

This is because the product is delivered instantly as a digital file on your device. You receive the full value of the purchase at the time of export.

2. When we will refund or credit

We will issue a refund or export credit when:

  • Payment succeeded but export failed — You were charged but could not download a clean PDF due to a technical failure on our side. Contact us within 48 hours with your order details.
  • Duplicate charge — You were charged twice for the same export attempt. Contact us within 7 days with both transaction references.
  • Unauthorized charge — You believe a payment was made without your authorization. We will investigate with Razorpay and respond according to their dispute process and applicable law.
  • Incorrect amount charged — The amount charged does not match the price shown at checkout (₹89 per export unless explicitly stated otherwise).

3. When refunds are not available

Refunds are generally not provided when:

  • You successfully downloaded the clean PDF
  • You changed your mind after export
  • You entered incorrect information in your document
  • A third party (employer, client, government office) did not accept your document
  • You expected legal, tax, or compliance outcomes our templates do not guarantee (see our Disclaimer)
  • PDF Tools were used successfully on files processed locally in your browser (PDF Tools are free; no payment applies)

4. Re-download window

After a successful paid export, you may re-download the same document export within 7 days on the same browser profile, subject to local storage availability. This re-download benefit is not a separate purchase and does not extend refund eligibility beyond the rules above.

5. How to request a refund

Email contact.dockbyink@gmail.com or call +91 8530956331 with:

  • Your registered email (if you were signed in)
  • Razorpay payment ID or order ID
  • Date and approximate time of payment
  • Document type (resume, biodata, invoice, etc.)
  • Short description of the issue
  • Screenshots if payment succeeded but export failed

We aim to acknowledge refund requests within 2 business days and resolve eligible cases within 7 business days. Actual credit to your account depends on your bank or payment provider after Razorpay processes the refund.

6. Razorpay disputes and chargebacks

If you dispute a charge with your bank or UPI app without contacting us first, we may share transaction logs and export delivery records with Razorpay to respond to the dispute. Fraudulent chargebacks may result in account suspension.

7. Consumer rights (India)

Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights under applicable Indian consumer protection laws. If you believe a refund is required by law, explain your situation and we will review it fairly.

8. Changes

We may update this Refund Policy. The "Last updated" date will change when we do. Changes apply to purchases made after the update unless otherwise required by law.
